  • Just about a month left...

My due date is Feb 16th however, I don't know if I am going to make it that long. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and I was 2 cm dilated... Exciting. I'll be 36 weeks on Sunday and am quit anxious and nervous at the same time. Baby is doing well and is head down preparing to make her exit. Now, I just wait...... I've heard plenty stories on people's dilation timing some went pretty quick other's were 2cm for a month. So we'll see. I'll just sit and wait as patiently as I can.

  • Oh Baby...

30 & 5/7 weeks.....It was beginning to feel like the shortest pregnancy ever until recently that is. At my last doctor's appointment at 29 weeks everything was looking good my fundal height was measuring at 33 cm which those of you who have been pregnant know that after a given time your fundal height coordinates with your pregnancy week. My next appointment is on Christmas Eve. My doctor wants to remeasure before the holidays and do a sonogram to check her weight. My due date might just get moved up a bit which wouldn't bother me at all. I'm ready! I'm tired, achy, sore and very round. Putting on socks has been a 5 minute task these days. Trying to find a comfortable sleeping position is another task that sucks these days and don't even let me get started on trying to bend. I can't wait to sleep on my stomach again and be back to my limber self. The pelvic aches and pains are almost beginning to become unbearable it even hurts to reposition myself in bed. I'm very happy that everything is going well with the baby and that she's growing fine but my body is starting to wear out. I have one more day left of classes/ finals and then I'm done til the end of January. I think I will hibernate after I get my taunting list of things to do before classes resume done.

  • Twilight = Dissapointment

I dragged Magoo out last night for the 10:30 showing of  "Twilight"  at Old Orchard. I've been hyped up for it ever since I finished book one for the four book series. Magoo's been sick for the past couple of days and I told him he didn't have to go but he insisted on keeping our date!  So we bundled up and trucked on over to the theatre only to be utterly dissapointed.

About 45 minutes into the movie at least 6 people walked out. Magoo wanted to join them and so did I but I insisted we stay since we already braved the cold and payed. Ughhh!!!! How utterly dissapointing. All the teeny boppers in the audience ohhhh and ahhhh'd everytime they showed the makeshift Edward Cullen and I tried to choke back my own vomit. I'm gonna have to say that it was probably one of the worst movies I've seen. I've never been a fan of book to movie conversions but I was hoping this time around would be different. NOPE! Not a chance. The best thing about the night was that Magoo and I finally got to get out of the house and have a little date night. It's been so long and we've had so many family functions that have filled our weekends it was nice to be alone regardless of the circumstances.

Don't let this deter you from reading the book. The book's are great! Let your imagination run wild.

  • Everyone has one...

Everyone has a friend that you'd like to think that you're pretty close with, however she's the friend that always has to "one- up" you. Do you know what I'm talking about?  You say you have a papercut and she says she has a serious staph infection. You say you're having the worst period of your life and she says she's having an early miscarriage. You say someone just broke into your house and stole everything you own she says she has just been carjacked and is leading the police on a high speed chase through the city. That friend!

The friend that any other day you could just laugh at her silliness, ignore it and move on. I've always known this about her it just took being pregnant to fully realize it. Now I know that she's the last friend I want to talk about "you" with, she is not worthy of knowing how much my life changes on a daily basis, how excited I get when I feel you poke and jab me in the ribs or kick me in the bladder. She doesn't get to know the preparations we've been making for you.

Pregnancy has brought new life to things. I learn more and more what I'm willing to put up with and what I'm not and what I've just been putting up with. I look forward to being your mom and being as honest with you as I can about the world you are soon about to enter.
